Welcome to Sun Hair, the place where I will be writing down anything and everything that inspires me, astounds me and blows my mind. It’s going to be a whole mess of things that I love and topics that come to mind and inspire me to write down my thoughts and ideas.
The Beginning of the Blog
I grew up in Toledo, Ohio and, I’m going to be completely honest here, I wasn’t smart enough to go to college and get my great escape from the town I grew up in. I didn’t get a great score in my SATs but that’s ok because I didn’t really know what sort of direction I wanted to go in in my life.
I love horses and animals and I grew up with a horse all of my own called Sunny. When I first came of age to be going on the internet and exploring the web, I had a blog spot blog called Sun Hair that was all about horses and my horse and I sometimes wrote about what I did at school or what me and my friends were up to at the weekend or after school.
It was fun, you know, we all had a blog and we’d comment on each other’s and share our favourite posts by friends but as we got older, everyone seemed to stop updating theirs. But I persevered and carried on and eventually moved away from Blogspot to my own domain!
It’s obviously evolved from horses and my life now and I’ll be posting all sorts of stuff which is genuinely useful for people who are visiting my page and reading what I write.
The Blog Now
Nowadays, I don’t work on my blog full time, but it is a really big part of my lifestyle. Everytime I wake up and do things, I’m wondering if it would be something that my readers would like to hear about or would a description of what I’m doing help people.
That’s the kind of relationship that I have with my blog, so know that I am always thinking about you, the reader!
So what can you expect from Sun Hair in 2018? Well, there’ll be a good mix of a lot of things, from home and DIY to health and beauty to a little bit of travel and experiences.
So a pretty mixed bag as you can tell! I’m always hoping that by covering such a wide range of topics and categories, there will really be something for every type of person who is visiting my blog. Hopefully enough to make anyone and everyone stay for a little while longer! We’re all friends here!
Sunny Kat
So you know all about the blog and now, I think it’s really important to know that there is a real person behind the posts that go live. My name is Kat and I’m 27 years old. I live in Toledo with my life partner Ciara.
We are very very happy together with our two cats and a steady life. Ciara works as a visual merchandiser in a big name department store and she travels the state to ensure that all the stores are up to scratch.
Meanwhile, my day job is an estate agent. Not super glamorous, but it pays the bills and I get to meet loads of great people along the way!
So that’s pretty much all you need to know! I’m an open book and if you ever have any questions about me (within reason!) I’ll be more than happy to answer them for you. Just send me a message and I’ll try and get back to you as soon as possible 🙂
